English sportwear royalty Umbro have now been making football kits for clubs all over the world for 100 years and this season the double diamond are celebrating the occasion with special edition kits, retro and modern design aesthetics and a new badge to boot. Here, we are going to break down what we think are the Top 10 Umbro Kits of the 2024/25 Season.
10. South Shields FC Home Kit
Kicking off our list of the best Umbro kits this season is South Shields FC’s 2024/25 home kit. Now in their second year with Umbro after a stint with Nike, the Mariners have embraced a bold new design that marks a significant shift from last season’s look.
The latest kit features a striking maroon base, highlighted by light blue horizontal stripes of varying thickness across the chest, creating a dynamic visual effect. Gone are the polo collar and raglan sleeves of last season, replaced by a sleek, modern design with solid light blue sleeves. Coming in in ninth place on our list and the first of two Brazilian kits to make the Top 10 is Brasileiro Serie A side Gremio.
The Porto Alegre based club are famed for their blue, black and white colours and which have been brought together by Umbro for a special edition third kit as part of a collection of Brazilian club kits the brand have designed to celebrate their 100th year manufacturing kits. The kit features a black base with an embossed pattern featuring images taken from the club badge. The top of the shirt is in the club’s famous light blue and is separated by a thick white band in the shape of a V. The remaining details of the shirt such as the club badge and the new Umbro logo with the inner diamond filled in, contrast against the black base in the blue colour.
It’s a brilliant example of a club’s away kit representing the essence of a club and remaining true to traditional colours and design elements.

Carlisle United’s 2024/25 away kit takes 8th place on our list, sparking mixed reactions from fans. While some love its bold design, others aren't as convinced. We’re firmly in the "love it" camp at KitsOut.
The shirt features a digitalised pattern in a blend of purple, pink, teal, and navy, creating a modern look. A loose V-neck collar and cuffs in navy are accented with a bright pink band, adding a touch of contrast. The club badge has also been reimagined to match the pink and navy theme, while the local sponsor Aqua Pura’s logo integrates seamlessly into the design.
