The kit features a striking combination of electric blue and neon green which to fans of a certain age will feel all too familiar. A carbon copy of the infamous Kappa kit worn by the club in the 1999 Division 2 Play Off Final against Gillingham, in which City claimed victory after they were 2-0 down after 90 minutes and facing an unimaginable second year in the third tier of English football. One grumble we have is that the kit would maybe look even more impressive if the Etihad Logo was swapped out for the retro Brother logo of the 1999 shirt but we’re just being picky.
